Elon Musk's UBI Proposal and Looming Threat of AI-Induced Unemployment: Why It Demands Our Immediate Attention, Along with a Solution to Global Poverty

In an Interview, Elon Musk said, "We need something like a 'Universal Basic Income' in our immediate future because Artificial Intelligence will replace many career options, leading to massive unemployment and poverty." Musk emphasized the importance of having a source of fund that can be benefitial to everyone. He proposed the idea of a "Universal Basic Income" inorder to survive in that  unpleasant future, where in A.I will definitely take away opportunities from people and we need to be equipped with an effective solution, Instead of working isolated and competing with an Artificial Intelligence within our workspace. We need to be team up with a Idea which can be a helpful one in addressing all these issues. AI-Induced Unemployment is inevitable anyways!

The worst part is It's already happening in various Industries. Script writers from Hollywood are striking over an ongoing labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers  seeking better compensation plans, all credits to AI. Even, Screenwriters are afraid that studios will use A.I. to generate scripts. Meanwhile, Sam Altman introduced Worldcoin as a crypto-backup to provide a solution to AI-Induced unemployment, It is an iris biometric cryptocurrency project developed by San Francisco and Berlin-based Tools for Humanity. I don't know how effective it will be! Hence, AI-Induced Unemployment is inevitable and we already have poverty, even in 21st century. So how can we effectively work inorder prevent all these from happening? I think we have a solution here, We need a Administrations that can be either private or public limited, but willing to shoulder the responsibility to eradicate these issues and I have a action plan for the same. We need a type of global administration which is capable of mounting a plan of action against poverty and AI-Induced Unemployment.

Inorder to develop the Global Fund, anyway we require a Global Administrations which is not only capable of raising funds but also capable of creating an effective framework and system to address issues, such as poverty, housing projects for the homeless, basic education for all, free medical support, and more. So we need organizations who can do both, and the organization must be a powerful one, Inorder to shoulder such a big responsibility. These types of Global Administrations also need a source of income to support their fundraising programs. Therefore, these administrations also need a idea which can help them function against poverty and inevitable financial crisis led by AI-Induced Unemployment along with existing deprivation.

And the solution here is we can develop social media platforms that can replace either one of any existing social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and even LinkedIn, which generate substantial amounts of revenue. An Administration with the intention of solving global poverty can create a source of income by replacing any of these platforms, thus facilitating their services in a more beneficial manner especially fund raising.

All these social media platforms are bagging in enormous amount of money and advertisement is one of their main channels of revenue with a margin of 40 to 60 %. What if we had a google service system without Larry Page and Sergey Brin and by replacing Alphabet Inc. we can think about a Administrations who aims to shut down poverty or work for humanitarian aspects, still Google can have smart CEO like Sundar Pichai or whoever it needs. I am not intending to mean that we need to come up with something like Google but instead trying to convey the possibilities of a concept as such.

Furthermore, they can even recruit efficient and experienced employees from individuals who have recently been laid off from companies like Meta, Google, Twitter, and others. Alternatively, they can even assemble a team from individuals who have voluntarily resigned from Meta or Google due to concerns over unethical data handling and privacy violations.

Existing global NGOs can seriously consider launching their own social media platform, which can serve as a major fundraising tool for their services. These social networking platforms would might not need to have an owner but would instead be operated by efficient employees in administrative roles, contributing to their success also leaded by an Administrative body which aiming to address AI-Induced Unemployment or existing poverty or deprivation. Their agenda should deliver a new perspective to the cooperative sector when it comes to CSR policies.

We live in a time in which free time can be converted to money, how can we afford poverty at this point in time. Time itself can be monetized. Your "free time" is not truly free, as all social media platforms monetize it. Time can be monetized regardless of who you are, it becomes difficult to justify the existence of poverty in our current era. Imagine traveling in a metro to your workspace and in those busy hours of commuting you spend your free time on a social media platform and the platform is owned by a organization like the one we discussing here and by just scrolling to your feed you are doing charity, just imagine.

Luxury brands like Rolex assign their revenue to charity, yet they remain prevalent in their respective sectors. Facebook, originally developed by a college student, has transformed into Meta and is now it worth nearly 500 billion dollars. If a college student like Zuck can suck all the money with some stolen idea, Can you imagine the potential of a Administration like the one we are discussing here.

Even Formula One racing is not solely about racing cars! Every year, the metrics demonstrate that they do not reach break even. However, the primary reason they continue to participate by spending millions is for advertisements. So what I am trying to convey here is, whatever direction we lay our eyes on,  there money grows. If by tomorrow someone execute the idea we were discussing here and the whole world joins the platform and, In a immediate future it becomes the primary social media platform and through which all the big names in business will spend billions of dollar in that platform because we are available on that social network and our time is equal to money, just imagine.

A Global Administration, driven by a genuine intention, has the capability to address numerous issues. After all, A billion-dollar startups have been created by groups of college students with great ideas. Therefore, NGOs operating on a global scale, such as UNESCO or UNICEF, possess extensive connections and capabilities can consider this idea and we can hope for a better future. In case if NGOs are not interested, anyone can be! Many business entities, like the Tata Group, for example, are proven examples that validate that, not only do they intend to make money, but they also have real concerns for society. They can consider igniting this idea. People with connections and financial backing can easily establish a business model with a pure intention like this one, and the whole world will take this idea by storm. And guess what? We won't be having poverty anymore, Hope.
